A St. Louis County, Missouri jury awarded driver, Robert Johnson, over $2,000,000 for injuries he suffered in 2007. Johnson alleged that known defects with the truck he was using caused permanent back injury. After several hours of deliberation, the jury returned a verdict agreeing with Johnson. ADWB partner, Michael Blotevogel, observed that “Manufacturers need to realize that people will not tolerate defective goods being rushed to market without consideration for the safety of those using the products.” The jury’s verdict sends a strong message that the citizens of St. Louis County demand safe products in their community.
