Armbruster Dripps Blotevogel LLC partner, Roy Dripps, drafted an amendment to Supreme Court Rule 212 that he submitted to the Illinois Supreme Court Rules Committee. On April 16, 2020, the Supreme Court Rules Committee notified Mr. Dripps that his proposal had been considered and invited him to testify on its behalf at a public hearing scheduled for June 24, 2020 in Chicago. The proposed amendment addresses a conflict between the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the Illinois Supreme Court Rules concerning the use of depositions at trials.
